Hello world! Thanks for checking out the LGOE Blog!

The LGOE blog is your one-stop shop for interviews and information about artists and events in the poetry and can-lit scene in Canada! My bus tokens only get me around downtown Toronto at the moment, but I’d love to do some interviews in various other urban centres in Canada, over the course of my blogging career! Here’s to starting!

My mission then? I’m hoping to interview some bright minds and help them social network online by blogging about them and their work. This will typically take the form of an interview and/or a discussion of their work. This blog pushes to a fanbase based off of two main social networking sites, where the multitude of my fans await: that is to say, Facebook and Twitter! By interviewing and discussing/critiquing artists, I can hopefully help their star-spangled dreams come true. Every interview helps! Only Love! <3

As previously stated, I live in Toronto, so if you want to do this over brunch or coffee, get at me, but be in and around the greater Toronto area (GTA), else I probably won't travel to you! Unless you're REALLY impressive! Else, let's keep it online or over the phone! :)

Now allow me to digress. This is my first post! I’m excited to get started. I’ve been working on the “bells and whistles” of the LGOE blog for about two days now, and what you see before you are the skeletal remains of a carnivorous appetite for blogging. All paths lead to Rome, as they say, so here’s to hoping that the can-lit artists get interviewed here first!

As previously stated, this blog was created with the intent of interviewing aspiring poets and authors in the Toronto area about music, art, can-lit and poetry, not to mention any other kind of art or artist I can get my seedy little hands on. I will also, (quite possibly) review books, magazines and anything else that I’m reading, as it pertains to the art-scene in Canada, with the odd off-hand remark about other irrelevant topics. However, I keep it clean and safe, and don’t wax political, historical or religious on the blog. And neither should you. I am very, very, statistically speaking, polite!

So please, when commenting at, on or about the blog, anywhere, even in person, at events, please do keep your comments clean and orderly, and remember my slogan, “Only Love!”. Be polite when commenting! And the LGOE will be polite back to you!

Another one of the LGOE blog’s intented purpose is to showcase my creative writing, my dogged will-to-power in the can-lit scene, and my deepest, dirtiest fantasy, (shhhh! very secret!) of one day being a nationally syndicated Blog (or heck, why not dream big? a nationally syndicated column or gig somewhere that pays the bills), with the LGOE visiting various other cities in Canada, such as: Montreal, Vancouver, and Ottawa in particular, so that I can talk about all sorts of art with all sorts of various Canadian artists!

As it stands today, I’ve taken one step away from self-publishing and one step toward considering publishers. Blogging is the next logical step in my writing career. Hopefully this blog will change how I publish and why. And no matter what happens, I will be a writer, in my own heart! And home is where the heart is!
